"The Storm" at Indian River Inlet
In "The Storm," I've revisited the view from Indian River Inlet bridge portrayed in my pastel painting, "The Quiet after the Storm." I've walked this beach and driven over the bridge countless times over the years and the view of sea meeting sand never ceases to amaze me, no matter the ocean's mood. Sometimes I drive over the bridge just to look. "The Storm" portrays a fierce Atlantic nor'easter, much like the one that caused the 1785 wreck of The Faithful Steward in this very location.
