"Break of Day," Celebration Series #17/25 in progress

"Break of Day" is finally taking on the luminescence and depth I've been working toward with fine glazes of color. I signed it today but will look at it when it's dry in a couple of days before calling it absolutely finished. Today's work was subtle adjustments to the enire sky. My desire is that no matter how light or dark this painting's surroundings, it glows, and pulls you into this peaceful early morning moment on the shore.

This is a 6" x 12" x 5/8" oil on finely textured, portrait grade canvas. The painting continues around the sides o it can be put in a float frame or simply displayed on a small easel.

As always, original paintings are always best seen in person to be fully appreciated. If you plan to visit the area anytime soon, I hope ypu will come see "Break of Day" in person before it finds a home. It can be purchased in this last stage of progress below.
